Does Regsta work without internet?

Short answer

The Time clock does, once the page is open. If the phone loses its connection, your taps are kept with the time you tapped and sent in order when the connection is back. You need a connection to sign in and to open Regsta.

How it works

  • A tap on Clock in, Start break, End break or Clock out is saved on the device before it is sent.
  • The time recorded is the moment you tapped, not the moment the connection came back.
  • When the connection is back, the taps are sent in the order they happened. Regsta retries on its own.
  • Each tap has its own ID, so a tap that is sent twice does not create a second shift.

What you see on screen

At the top of the Time clock you can see how many taps are waiting to be sent. If one cannot be completed, for example because the shift was already ended elsewhere, the Time clock says it needs your attention and offers Try again.

Good to know

  • You need a connection to sign in and to open Regsta. Open the Time clock before you go somewhere without signal.
  • If you close the browser tab, the taps are kept and sent the next time you open the Time clock with a connection.
  • The taps are stored in the browser you used. If you switch phone or browser before they are sent, they do not come with you.
Manual entries, time-off requests and approvals need a connection. Only the Time clock's four actions are kept without one.
