What is the Inspection folder?

Written for
  • Admin
  • Payroll
  • Auditor

Short answer

It is what you hand over when a labour inspector, an auditor or a union asks about working time. It puts the period's time entries, approvals, corrections and audit trail in one place, and downloads as a ZIP file with a checksum for each file, or as a PDF report.

Where to find it

Open Inspection folder in the menu. It shows the folder for the current pay period.

What it contains

  • Compliance status for the period, including rest between shifts and average weekly hours.
  • The audit trail: how many events there are, and the latest one.
  • Approvals in the period, and how many are still awaiting approval.
  • Corrections made in the period.
  • Retention: how many years the time entries are kept.
  • Export history: which exports were made, when, and with how many rows.

How to download it

Choose Inspection folder (ZIP) for the whole folder. The ZIP holds the time entries and the audit trail as CSV, the compliance report as PDF, the folder itself as JSON, a README, and a manifest with a SHA-256 checksum for each of those files, so the recipient can check that nothing was changed after download. Choose Compliance report (PDF) if you only need the report.

Admins, Payroll users and Auditors can open the page. Admins and Payroll users can download the files.

In Denmark, this is the folder to have ready when Arbejdstilsynet (the Danish Working Environment Authority) asks about working time.

The Inspection folder documents the recorded data. It is not a legal assessment: holiday, sickness, collective agreements and exemptions are for you to assess.
